Roots of Pacha may have been inspired by Stardew Valley and it will certainly please fans of ConcernedApe's farming sim, but it's also looking like a great game in its own right with some. We’re confident it will be worth the wait. Roots of Pacha had a very successful launch on Kickstarter, smashing its 35,000 goal more than ten times over with 355,388 in funding. To achieve the level of quality we want and that you all expect and deserve, we would rather take the necessary time to deliver. With that said, even with a talented team and the “quick pace” we’re working at, we unfortunately lacked the experience to gauge how much time it would take to create the game we promised you all. We are incredibly proud of these accomplishments so far. The team is comprised of talented individuals who have both met and exceeded expectations regarding the alpha, beta, and demo. Game development is an iterative process with many interconnected systems that all need time and energy dedicated to them. By connecting with nature at your own pace you’ll help your clan evolve, develop culture and relationships, and discover the mysteries of Pacha, mother nature. We have aimed to be as transparent as possible and need more time to deliver the experience we promised and the one we all dreamed of playing. Roots of Pacha is a co-op farming and life simulation game set in the stone age, where you and your clan just settled in a promised and fertile land. Update on Release We have decided to move Roots of Pacha’s release to early 2023. Amazingly, unlike most farming sims available today, Roots of Pacha implements co-op from the get-go - even Stardew Valley didn't implement this feature until after its initial launch.
